The indelible West Coast duo Greazus serves up a powerhouse EP of half-time jungle pressure.

Title track ‘Sweat Equity’ is a breakbeat jungle workout with a new school flex. The rattling snares and classic conga-line is reminiscent of 90’s era breakbeat, while the footwork inspired programming and gangster bassline brings everything up to modern-day speed.

‘Spooky Mulder’ takes the tempo down a notch with its half-time dubstep influenced programming. The ghostly synths and throttling subbass make for an incredible tune that will rock the heaviest of bass bins.

Magugu makes a special appearance in the aptly titled ‘We Don’t Give A Damn’. The super funky synth stabs, and west coast beats make for a brilliant fusion of the UK sound with a North American twist. The beat is so good we’ve even included an instrumental!

Finally, hot off his recent releases on Exit and Skalator Music, the Toronto native Groves provides a cheeky re-edit of ‘Sweat Equity’. Focusing on the funkier elements of the track, and suping up the footwork aesthetic with its breaks and thumpin’ 808 bassline, this track is a defo in the virtual crates.
